Governor Newsome Thanks Local 5 Essential Workers
In a special video prepared for the Local 5 Steward Program, California Governor Gavin Newsome thanked Local 5 members for their ongoing essential work to provide food, drugs and other goods to the State’s consumers during the pandemic.
“We literally could not have gotten through this without you,” the Governor said
Newsome also thanked Local 5 for its legislative advocacy for all workers with the union’s support of paid sick leave, cannabis industry regulations and other initiatives.
