Rite Aid Effects Bargaining Update June 2, 2025
UFCW Local 5, along with our UFCW family across the country, met with Rite Aid representatives to bargain the effects of the Bankruptcy liquidation. An agreement was reached, but it is pending the approval of the Bankruptcy Court. The Company and the Unions had agreed to not share the details until the agreement was in fact approved. As you know, the Company inexplicably shared parts of the agreement with employees last week, and failed to point out the agreement had not been approved by the court. If the court rejects it, then it will be null and void. While we are fairly confident the court will approve the agreement, to date that has not occurred. We will update you after we hear from the court. Union Representatives have been informed of the details and can share them, if, and when, approved by the court.
UFCW Local 5, junto con nuestra familia del UFCW en todo el país, se reunió con representantes de Rite Aid para negociar los efectos de la liquidación de la bancarrota. Se llegó a un acuerdo, pero está pendiente de la aprobación del Tribunal de Bancarrota. La empresa y los sindicatos habían acordado no compartir los detalles hasta que el acuerdo fuera aprobado.
