June 12, 2025, MACY’S BARGAINING UPDATE
UFCW Local 5 along with your bargaining committee, met with Macy’s at our South San Francisco location to continue bargaining a fair contract for our Macy’s members.
Representatives from the company and Local 5 exchanged and discussed additional proposals regarding healthcare, wages, and schedules. Progress is slow; the company has set its sights on targeting grandfathered set schedules and historical weekends off with a company proposal to dramatically impact some of the most senior employees that have helped this company remain profitable year after year. We will continue to meet with the company to address our member’s needs.
The next round of bargaining will be held on June 23rd and 24th.
