Tentative Agreement Reached with Rite Aid!
We are pleased to announce that UFCW Local 5 has come to a tentative agreement with Rite Aid for a new contract. The agreement comes as Local 5 was preparing to strike the Employer at midnight June 23rd. The agreement preserves our healthcare, properly funds our pension plan, defeats Employer proposals to reduce hour guarantees, and offers a fair wage that reflects the increased costs of living.
We would like to thank the Local 5 Rite Aid members for standing united in the face of serious takeaways from the Employer. This agreement was only achieved by the membership clearly telling Rite Aid that they would not accept a lesser contract. Our strength is, and has always been, in our collective action.

Nos complace anunciar que UFCW Local 5 ha llegado a un acuerdo tentativo con Rite Aid para un nuevo contrato. El acuerdo se produce cuando el Local 5 se preparaba con una Huelga para a la medianoche del 23 de junio. El acuerdo preserva nuestra atención médica, financia adecuadamente nuestro plan de pensiones, derrotando las propuestas del empleador para reducir las garantías de horas y ofrece un salario justo que refleja el aumento de los costos de vida.
Nos gustaría agradecer a los miembros de Local 5 de Rite Aid por permanecer unidos frente a las conclusiones serias del Empleador.
