Macy’s Bargaining Update February 2nd Macy’s Membership Ratifies New Agreement
UFCW Local 5 Macy’s members ratified the new agreement. As such, the new agreement is in full force and effect. Local 5 has notified the company so they may begin to process the increases and ratification bonus. The company will begin contacting those eligible for the severance package shortly.
We would like to thank all of the Macy’s workers that helped make this possible by standing united during the 2-day strike and the days that followed. A BIG THANK YOU to bargaining committee members Michelle Jones and Chelsea Thomas for their tireless commitment to represent their Macy’s co-workers at the bargaining table over 8 months of exhaustive negotiations.
