Macy’s Bargaining Update January 25, 2023 Company and Union Return to Bargaining January 30
The UFCW Local 5 bargaining committee will return to the negotiating table with Macy’s on Monday January 30. Macy’s has made no promises to improve its offer, but the committee will meet with company negotiators cautiously optimistic that we can reach a fair agreement that we can recommend to our members for ratification.
In the event an agreement is not reached on the 30th, we will proceed with preparations for a strike to begin on Saturday February 4. The strike will continue until an agreement is reached. If Macy’s improves its offer next Monday, a vote of the membership will take place on Thursday February 2 at the Handlery Hotel from 9 AM to 7 PM.

El comité de negociaciónes del UFCW Local 5 regresará a la mesa de negociaciones con Macy’s el lunes 30 de Enero. Macy’s no ha hecho promesas de mejorar su oferta, pero el comité se reunirá con los negociadores de la compañía, cautelosamente optimistas de que podemos llegar a un acuerdo justo que podemos recomendar a nuestros miembros para su ratificación.
En caso de que no se llegue a un acuerdo el día 30, procederemos con los preparativos para una Helga que comenzará el Sábado 4 de Febrero. La huelga continuará hasta que se llegue a un acuerdo. Si Macy’s mejora su oferta el próximo lunes, una votación de los miembros tendrá lugar el Jueves 2 de Febrero en el Hotel Handlery de 9 AM. a 7 PM.
