Strike Threat Leads to Tentative Agreement with Lucky/Save Mart
UFCW Locals 5, 8 and 648 have reached a tentative agreement for a new three-year agreement with Lucky/Save Mart.
The historic deal comes after the unions terminated the contract extension agreement and threatened to strike the company on March 27.
“Our members made this settlement possible by staying together, wearing buttons, attending rallies and making it clear in many ways that they were willing to fight for the contract that they deserved,” said Local 5 President John Nunes.
