UFCW 5 and Food Maxx Stores have reached an unprecedented agreement in terms of wages, bonuses and improved contract changes in UFCW 5 Northern California stores. After a very long and difficult bargaining process UFCW 5 has secured historical wage increases and bonuses for Food Maxx members. Local 5 is recommending acceptance of the agreement.

Wages for Senior Clerks over the contract term will increase by $2.80 an hour and between $3.55 to $5.55 an hour immediately for many Experienced Schedule I & II Clerks with 5 or more years of service. Bonuses and retroactive pay will range from over  $400 for part-time employees and Clerks Helpers to as much as $8100 for full-time Experienced Meat Cutters and $6,200 for full-time Senior Clerks. There are many other improvements too numerous to list.
