Dear Macy’s Union Brothers and Sisters,
Macy’s Union Square Location is opening June 19th, 2020.
If you have any questions, please contact your union representative: Tony Vargas at [email protected] or at 415-810-8588
Your union is working hard to help you in these tough times. Macy’s members of UFCW 5 are facing the same challenges as the 130,000 other workers in Macy’s across the country. We have created a page specifically for Macy’s members that lays out all the resources that are available to you.
During this time of furlough you will be able to withdraw from the union, so you will not have to pay union dues while you are not working. When you are back and employed at Macy’s your CBA outlines your recall rights. These are for up to six (6) months upon reopening. These rights guarantee that you are retaining seniority and all other rights under the CBA.
Macy’s members may be eligible for hardship assistance up to $500. Please visit http://northstarrelieffund.com/. To apply members will need to create an account and apply for a hardship ($500 is the max for an epidemic).
If you have any questions please contact your union representative by email or phone: Tony Vargas E: [email protected] C: (415)-810-8588
