Support AT&T Park Concession Workers’ fight for a fair contract
On April 1, 2009, the 750 concessions workers at AT&T Park – employees of Centerplate, a Spartanburg, South Carolina company – received their last wage increase. Since then, the San Francisco Giants have gone on to win two World Series Championships and achieve astonishing financial success. Meanwhile, the hardworking food and beverage workers who take care of Giants fans have been rewarded with a Giant Zero. Zero wage increases. Zero respect for their important role in the Giants fan experience.
Lets support our brothers & sisters of UNITE HERE Local 2 get a fair contract! Let’s show our support Local 5, sign the petition today!

This strike is about standing up for the students, patients and taxpayers the UC Medical System was intended to serve. UC’s increasingly unsafe staffing practices and growing culture of executive entitlement are undermining patient care quality and unnecessarily putting lives at risk. We will not rest until UC gets its priorities straight. – AFSCME 3299 President Kathryn Lybarger.

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Ride Mechanics are locked out.
Less than 24 hours after ride mechanics represented by the IAM were locked out at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA, a popular ride in the park broke down putting patrons at risk. In support of our Machinist brothers and sisters UFCW 5 will not be selling discount tickets to Six Flags. Not only is it a matter of safety for the patrons but a matter of better working conditions and fair wages for the members of IAW & AW District 190. For information contact Thomas J.
